LINGA KATTU

I.METHOD
     
               Jathilingam (Cinnabar) is placed in the centre of Cherankottai and burned.

II.ESSENTIAL APPARATUS NEEDED

              Oven, firewood, earthern pots ,match box, knife etc...
 
III.PURIFICATION OF RAW DRUGS

                In this method no specific purification is required.

IV.RAW DRUGS AND THEIR MEASURE

                 Lingam  1 palam  (It is to be taken as one piece)
                 Cherankottai  15 palam  (900 grms)
  
V.PROCEDURE

                 Cherankottai to be split  into two halves carefully using a knife. Then divide it into two equal parts. Fill one part in the pot and place lingakattai in the middle ,and pour the remaining parts above it and place it upon the oven and burn using firewood.While it is burned , cherankottai began to produce fume and begin to burn. At this point burnt out the fire in the oven and allow to burn Cherankottai. When the cherankottai are completely burnt out allow the pot to cool.After cooled, take out lingakatta and it is found in the state of 'kattu'. Keep safely in a glass bottle.

VI.  USE 

       Internal (oral ) medicine

VII.ANUPANAM OR VEHICLE

       Then, or Chukku Kudineer

VIII.DOSAGE & IMPORTANT THERAPEUTIC USAGE

        65 mg with suitable adjuvants 2 times a day after food.

          64 types of juwaram (fevers) will be cured. it gives strength to Nerves.

IX.DIET RESTRICTIONS
     
            Better avoid sour and salty food items.

X.EXPIRY

             No expiry to this medicine. It will remain its potancy for 100 years.
